Happy Blogiversary to me, happy blogiversary to me, happy blogiversary to Lilly, happy blogiversary to me!

Okay now that we got that outta the way- what to write about... What to write about... Hmmm...

I guess what makes the most sense, is to reflect on the last year since I jumped on this crazy train people call social media or sosh med... Depending who you talk to...lol or laughing out loud orphonetucally speaking, lowl!

Well my blog has simply been a whirlwind of stupid and necessary fun! 

I could give y'all a list of pros, so here they go:

- It has given folks an opportunity to get to "know" me - I put that in quotations because the blog is a snippet of me but a cool enough snippet

- It has become a conversation piece and it allows people to ask me follow up questions, thus for people that always put me in the shy box got to see me come "outta" my shell- I put that in quotations cause I have been outta my shell it just took some folks a bit longer to see that

- It got me fired... Whaaaaaaat? How is that a good thing???... Weeeeeelllll it got me where I am today... Doing something that I love, working alongside people that truly have a passion for what we do, day in and day out-

- It has made me realize who's there just for the ride and who's there even if the wheels fall off

- It has given me the outlet to express my thoughts, my feelings, and my life through an awesome medium where you can choose to ignore or choose to acknowledge

- It has exposed to so many brilliant people- that you can fond to the right on my Blog "bibles"

- It has been my friend when I needed a shoulder to cry on... In a metaphoric sense, of course- duh... Right!

- It has allowed me to tell my Babo how much I love him, and to tell the world how much I love my parents and those who have always loved me for being me

- And yes! The world! I have readers from Asia, Europe and Africa! How flippin awesome is that! We live in an age where the song "It's a small world after all" is actually true and ! 

- I have been able to connect with old friends and acquaintances being able to see what happen to so and so Or having them comment on my posts or message me has been super rewarding!

- And last but not least, I feel more connected to the world by being connected digitally, physically, mentally and emotionally...

And yeah! All those top reasons are about me! News flash y'all! Bloggers are a bit narcissistic! 

Someone pop dem bottles!!!!
So thank you to new friends, to my blog, my new confidant (the new voice in my head) and thanks to social media for allowing us this platform to say what we want, when we want! ( A symptom I have suffered with my whole life that might get me into trouble sometimes, but I wouldn't have it any other way)

FML... I Totally Forgot it was Monnday Today...

I hope everyone had a restful Memorial Day weekend. Mine was jam packed with major accomplishments and lots of love! So much so, that I forgot today was Monday and that I needed to write my blog... I am also in the middle of planning another trip...

Fatshion 101: Return of National Polka Dot Day

Happy New Year's Y'all! I am happy to be back! I am happy that it's the beginning of the year when the days feel refreshed and reinvigorated. I am not so much of the "new year, new me" attitude BUT a new year does represent a much more glacier pace of life for me. I kinda fell off the face of the Earth or at least my blog since September 2018... October, our birthday month was superbusy, November at work is an insane time and December is for the holidays sooooooo by the end of the year - I am just waiting with bated breath for new years! Aaaaaaaand January is also home to one of my favoritest days of the year! National Polka Dot Day! In honor of the the Polka Dot Queen herself, Minnie Mouse! If it has dots! I want it! I got it! ;-) And dude!!! I celebrated in what I can only describe as pants sent from heaven! They are from Zara and I bought them ON SALE, maybe six months ago and they come in XXL! EDC 2016: Modesty, nudity and feminism

Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent Give it to me to go to Vegas and come back more of an empowered feminist than ever! Damn right! First of all... (clap, clap) Let's get something straight! (clap-clap)) My anxiety/insecurity prior to this Vegas Wedding slash EDC thing had NOTHING to do with my body!!! (CLAP) I struggle with finding nudity an empowering source! And not because I'm fat but because I've always been a believer in less is more - in where, the less skin I show, the more enticing and the more empowered I feel. Yeah! Ladies and gents! It's possible! And an argument can be made of the same saying; Less is more - The less clothing you wear the more enticing and empowered you can feel! And I say "I struggle" with 'empowering nudity' because we are bombarded with nudity everywhere we look - We are meant to be made to believe that we should all be comfortable with nudity - well I hate to break it to y'all but - nah!
