Fatshion 101: Long Live the FUPA

Yeah, you read that right! Your eyes do not deceive you... Long Live the Mother Fuckin FUPA! May the Fat Upper Pussy Area reign forever! I am a fat woman with a fat body, that includes fat thighs, a fat stomach, a fat face, fat arms and a Fat. Upper. Pussy. Area. And my God, I am on the verge of turning 33 thus by my calculations, it has taken me well over 21 summers to FINALLY look forward to the summer. I am at my heaviest I've been in my adult life, 210lbs if you must know- AND I am finally wearing shorts without shame! And for the first time in sooooooooo many, many, many, many, many, many... Well you get the gist... It has been years since I looked forward to bathing suit season for the actual bathing suits. As we officially come to mark the end of summer I would like to share that loving myself is a continuous journey. There are days I wish I were as fat as the days when I thought I was "fat" - at 163lbs. And then there are days that I simply thank G...

Fatshion 101: Hey! You're fat, where do you shop?

Another Fatshion 101 post, umm yes!!! (It's a mixture about one of my new favorite dresses and a reality that all Happy Fat and Fabulous Girls must face....) You see- I did write a REALLY ANGRY post but the hubby recommended that I hold off posting it. At least until I let my feelings simmer down. And every once in a blue moon I take his advice wholeheartedly... Beeeesiiiiiides we were headed to Callistoga and we both agreed that I had gotten that bitter sh*t out of my system and that it was time to enjoy each other. Oh the scenery...Wish we could go back... So off to my Fatshion 101: "Online shopping is this fat girl's best friend" I have been wanting to travel for a really long time, that bite that just keeps gnawing at the wanderlust part of my brain... And I read some great advice from a FB page... If you have that wanderlust bite but not the time, it suggested just to try a new scenery for a few days...  And with a job schedule constraint it...

Fatshion 101: Chambrays, harems pants, and hats... Oh my!

Created using Photogrid It has been just a little under a year since my last Fatshion post... And I am happy to be back! I didn't realize how much the wedding was consuming my life until this summer. I haven't looked up a bridal magazine, wedding Pinterest board or wedding website in months! All my free time has been letting my brain zone out!  Like hello, space cadet Lilly! I have done nothing but vegge out and plan every weekend possible with something fun to do this summer! It all hit me last week when I was going through my pictures and realized that I had been saying - oh, I'll blog about that later or I'll post it on FB later-later... So I'm finally posting our pics on FB and blogging about some of my favorite weekend outfits.   That's what today's blog is about! My #ootd, at least on the weekends ;-) I reserve my weekends to feel my best and prettiest. I'm not sure why but at work I just let myself be super plain Jane. An...

Fatshion 101: Happy French National Day... Vol 1 Issue 2

In  my Frenchy-Carrie-ish Skirt... And a pop of red! In honor of French National Day, today's 2nd FATSHION post is all about this striped skirt from Forever 21... Have I ever told y'all how I feel about stripes... Well... If I haven't... I'm telling you now! I Loooooooooove Stripes! So, please, imagine my heartbreak, at 13 years old reading a magazine and being told that because I am pear shaped I shouldn't wear stripes! (I'm still not sure who the eff came up with these terms but I like to say that I have a woman's shape)  So for about a year, I refused to wear stripes even though they were some of my favorite items of clothing... I would fulfill my cravings by wearing striped purses, socks and/or shoes- And then there was this pink and green striped shirt with a white lined collar... I was in love... but the words written on that stupid magazine kept on circulating in my head... I'm not sure what it was or what came over ...
