About

I was a twenty-something yr-old when I started and am still a bit nucking futs!

In this lifetime I am playing many roles: Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Friend, Youth Specialist, Dog Mommy, Fiancee, now a WIFE, Latina-Americana (figuring out what that is suppose to mean),  Being a Fat Girl that accepts and works to love herself and looking forward to re-evaluating this journal blog

All the mean while, trying to figure out life one day at a time...Committing myself to the old adage " When you know better, you do better" - Maya Angelou

I was asked by a "friend," 'So what's the point to your blog...'
Here's what I came up with...

Welcome! My blog is about anything and everything: I am what they call in the blogosphere a "Journal Blogger" and I am excited to add Fatshion 101 as a consistent feature!

Here, I have the opportunity to present you with the crazy rants I have with my friends-friends and my "friends"
There are too many moments in my life where I think- I should Youtube this or blog this (That is of course when I was introduced to blogs - in 2013 -  after reading "Let's pretend this never happened" by Jenny Lawson The Bloggess)

What... yeah... I have only been in the "Social Media World" as of October 2013...Meaning I finally joined Facebook, Got a Smartphone and all the other vices that come along with it!

So I hope y'all enjoy getting to know me a bit better... Or that I serve as a consolation... Cause you won't feel as weird about yourself, as you once did, after reading my blog ;-)

FML... I Totally Forgot it was Monnday Today...

I hope everyone had a restful Memorial Day weekend. Mine was jam packed with major accomplishments and lots of love! So much so, that I forgot today was Monday and that I needed to write my blog... And for consistency sake, I am writing to let y'all know to come back June 1st for a Wedding Update...   And that I am thinking about adding some kinda fat girl's guide to feeling and looking good, at least once a month... Every 1st,2nd or 3rd post... I want to try out this challenge I found on Instagram from the Aussie Perth Curvettes! Check 'em out I love theirr Instagram and their blogs! I'm not becoming a fashion/style blog by any stretch of the imagination... BUT I do enjoy looking good and feeling good about myself. And I haven't lately and that is a major part of my anxiety these days. I have been beating myself up and I want to make sure that at least once a month I highlight my many positive attributes! I am also in the middle of planning another trip...

Fatshion 101: Return of National Polka Dot Day

Happy New Year's Y'all! I am happy to be back! I am happy that it's the beginning of the year when the days feel refreshed and reinvigorated. I am not so much of the "new year, new me" attitude BUT a new year does represent a much more glacier pace of life for me. I kinda fell off the face of the Earth or at least my blog since September 2018... October, our birthday month was superbusy, November at work is an insane time and December is for the holidays sooooooo by the end of the year - I am just waiting with bated breath for new years! Aaaaaaaand January is also home to one of my favoritest days of the year! National Polka Dot Day! In honor of the the Polka Dot Queen herself, Minnie Mouse! If it has dots! I want it! I got it! ;-) And dude!!! I celebrated in what I can only describe as pants sent from heaven! They are from Zara and I bought them ON SALE, maybe six months ago and they come in XXL! I fell in love with them the minute I put them on SO ...

What does Keepin It One Hun-ned (real) mean to you...

I have been pondering about this post since I read this Buzzfeed  The 6 Types of Friends Everyone Should Have (Check it out before and/or after reading this post; just make sure to come back ;-) As I read this Buzzfeed, I kept on asking myself "But why...what's the point" If my friendships are not genuine and they're not substantial, what's the point in a friendship? Which got me thinking, how many friends do you have and how many of them are legit friends, the "ride or die" friends and which are the friends that are just "along for the ride???" Interestingly enough, people around began to have this conversations without any bait from me. And people's responses ranged all over the spectrum AND what I summed up were two types of individuals; those that put up with the bull-shit friends and those that choose not to... Neither one is wrong and/or right... Two perspectives: First One: The one allergic to bullshit... These indi...
