Our children will be half breeds...

Yes, you read this post title correctly. Our children will be Half breeds! Hapa! Multi-Cultural! Half Asian! Half Latino! But we're getting ahead of ourselves. Disclaimer, this isn't a "We're expecting" announcement. Let's start from the beginning... A couple days ago my husband and I had dinner at a local pho restaurant and this was our second time there. In the both times we went, the restaurant was scarce with customers, meaning it's usually just us and one other customer. It's like that kind of restaurant  that's probably super busy over lunch time but not dinner time.. But I digress... Well, the first time we went to this restaurant the food was good and the service, well... same-old, same-old of a local pho place... but always the same-old, same-old curious looks, curious questions and... And after eight and a half years of dating, being engaged and marrying a man outside of my culture - it's just getting plain-old BORING an...

I am the Dirty Thirty... Mitches!

Selfie at Cliff House Entry date: October 7th, 2015 I just turned 30 years-old a couple hours ago and I'm feeling all kinds of ways! But above all those feelings is love! The most important element of my birthday celebrations is to feel loved and I do-ooohh! So many feelings, so little time... but in reality I've had the last 10 years to come to terms with turning 3 0! I remember being 20 and praying for love, peace of mind, good health, a meaningful life and above all a small circle of friends and family that love me. I felt sooooh lost at 20 and I needed to be found, it has been a journey and it continues to be... but I have a partner that loves me unconditionally, I have made peace with so many of my deamons, and I have had a physical and I'm doing okay-ish... Update: 10/27/15: Minus growing kidney stones... Everyday, I work on making my life meaningful by loving and speaking honestly with loved ones and most importantly myself.  Though I...

Fatshion 101: Hey! You're fat, where do you shop?

Another Fatshion 101 post, umm yes!!! (It's a mixture about one of my new favorite dresses and a reality that all Happy Fat and Fabulous Girls must face....) You see- I did write a REALLY ANGRY post but the hubby recommended that I hold off posting it. At least until I let my feelings simmer down. And every once in a blue moon I take his advice wholeheartedly... Beeeesiiiiiides we were headed to Callistoga and we both agreed that I had gotten that bitter sh*t out of my system and that it was time to enjoy each other. Oh the scenery...Wish we could go back... So off to my Fatshion 101: "Online shopping is this fat girl's best friend" I have been wanting to travel for a really long time, that bite that just keeps gnawing at the wanderlust part of my brain... And I read some great advice from a FB page... If you have that wanderlust bite but not the time, it suggested just to try a new scenery for a few days...  And with a job schedule constraint it...

Fatshion 101: Chambrays, harems pants, and hats... Oh my!

Created using Photogrid It has been just a little under a year since my last Fatshion post... And I am happy to be back! I didn't realize how much the wedding was consuming my life until this summer. I haven't looked up a bridal magazine, wedding Pinterest board or wedding website in months! All my free time has been letting my brain zone out!  Like hello, space cadet Lilly! I have done nothing but vegge out and plan every weekend possible with something fun to do this summer! It all hit me last week when I was going through my pictures and realized that I had been saying - oh, I'll blog about that later or I'll post it on FB later-later... So I'm finally posting our pics on FB and blogging about some of my favorite weekend outfits.   That's what today's blog is about! My #ootd, at least on the weekends ;-) I reserve my weekends to feel my best and prettiest. I'm not sure why but at work I just let myself be super plain Jane. An...

"Vinh-Isms" The Sh-Stuff My Hubby Says... Vol. 3 Issue 1

Practicing for when we get older... It has been a while... like about a whole 13 months since my last "Vinh-Isms" post! Yikes! And it's not for a lack of them... trust me! I've just been lacking motivation to write my blog... But I am here, finally! Thanks to it being Take Me Back Tuesday and all! And this picture, there are certain pictures of us that just make me smile and this is one of 'em!  I have a pretty, "die-hard, frst time ever in Vegas" story and it involves a wheelchair... So while in San Diego, celebrating my cousins 29th birthday, again... My cousins loved rehashing that story and when we saw the wheelchair, we just had to... So as the drill goes, always a little backstory so that y'all may understand... Backstory: I love my ringtones to have personality! And depending on the flavor of the month and/or my mood, I change my ringtone very often. So in the middle of choosing my new ringtone, he says: "Yeah!!! That...

A Hater, Hates and a Faker is Fake, Fake, Fake...

Via funnystatus.com A few weeks ago, one the greatest things to happen to the bay area since the San Francisco Giants won their third World Series in 6 years... The Golden State Warriors won the NBAFinals after 40years since their last win! It was amazing! My hubby is a huge fan and the Warriors are a part of our origin story... 8 years ago was the beginning of the "We believe" era and 8 years I began to watch sports center or listen carefully to the news when they would talk about the Warriors so that I could have something to talk about with the cute guy that sat behind me in my classes... I let him know from the get that I wasn't a basketball fan, well more that I never had a love for a team or the game as I did for the love of baseball and the Giants... He said something to the effect of... "You'll go to a game with me and you'll change your mind..." After a few months of dating he bought us season opener game tickets and no I didn...

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE...LOVE Disneyland! Part 2

The 3rd bear to hold my heart! #1 My Teddy #2 Corduroy bear When spending a lovely Tuesday night, with your husband, watching movies and bad reality TV and you're inspired to write! My name is Lilly and I am addicted to reality TV, more specifically, all of Bravo's Real Housewives-ish (Was never a big fan of the DC housewives, mind you, they only had one season) But to the point... Why is Pooh Bear to the left of this blog? Well, because about four days ago we spent #24HoursAtDisneyland... Yes! You read that correctly, if you don't follow me on IG, shame on you, SMH, but you would know that we spent 24 hours at Disneyland! We were there to kick off the Diamond Celebration #Disney60 - The park has been an American staple for 60 years! My first visit to the park I was still small enough to fit in a stroller, I think I might have been 3 years-old circa 1988 and my great, great grandmother, mi abuelita Juana, was there! Along with my grandmas, my parents, my aun...
